About This Site

Mississippi custody records are split among county jails, MDOC state custody, federal BOP custody, ICE detention, VINE notifications, and court systems. This private reference site organizes those paths so visitors can start with the right official source instead of treating one search box as a statewide answer.

Why This Site Exists

Mississippi makes many jail, prison, and court records available through public systems, but the correct system depends on custody type. A recent county arrest may sit with a sheriff jail docket. A state sentence belongs with the Mississippi Department of Corrections. A federal sentence belongs with BOP. Immigration detention belongs with ICE. This site is the statewide umbrella that routes users to the county directory, the MDOC locator, the facility directory, and the other public channels documented in the Mississippi research.

What You Can Find

The main pages focus on practical record access across Mississippi:

What We Cannot Do

This is not MDOC, a sheriff's office, a jail, a court, BOP, ICE, VINELink, or any government agency. We cannot release, hold, transfer, or locate a person in real time. We cannot post bond, schedule visits, send money, change court records, pull nonpublic files, or give legal advice. Official custody status, charges, release dates, and record copies must come from the agency that created or holds the record.

Only the responsible sheriff, MDOC, court, federal agency, or immigration authority can confirm current custody or release status.

Search Partners

Some pages include search tools provided by third-party partners. Those partners set their own prices, terms, result coverage, and data practices. If a visitor chooses a paid tool after using a partner search box, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the free statewide reference pages available, but we do not control partner results or pricing.
